Pulled the engine back out of my JD314 K321 . Of course when I rebuilt it I cleaned everything real good and used new gaskets . Well  I have an oil leak , about 24 hrs per drop coming off left front corner of pan . I want  to say it is the pan gasket but just can't say positively , but don't  see any crack in the pan . There is no oil anywhere on the block itself . So i'm pondering .

How long sence the first rebuild? I did a B/S in 2009 (RED) and he developed a signifante oil seapage problem, so I replaced all the gaskets (and other parts) this year. No more seapages (so far).  I have a thread on here about the refurbish somewhere.

Tonight I replaced a headlight... not glamorous but necessary.

Ouch, all I can say is I hope it is a bad gasket. I used "Form-a-Gasket Sealant" on mine. I know it is a PITA to remove, but hopefully I won't have to do that for a long long while.

This is more of a rant but involves working on a tractor. I've been working on this 222. Just trying to get things adjusted. I hooked the tach up and at half throttle the thing hits 3600. Lord only knows what full throttle does. I sure don't. So why does it seem I get the tractors that someone has screwed with the governors. It drives me crazy!!! Since its different from the K301 in my JD 112, I get to learn a whole new way to adjust this thing. If I had hair it would've been pulled out. Ok, I'm done now. Thanks for reading.

Worked on the AC B112 tonight in hopes that I can get a little seat time over the weekend.

I finally got it running (after sitting for the winter, it's always ornery to wake up... but we convinced it.

Did a little carb cleaning, and a little tweaking. Running decent now.

Figured out that the charging circuit wasnt... cleaned the points in the regulator. Also adjusted the regulator so it will feed the battery a pretty constant 13.6.

Ever since I bought it, the clutch was temperamental if the varispeed was in "slow" . Almost couldnt clutch it at all. Managed to adjust the linkages so it would do what it should. Much safer.

Also stared at the tiller belt for a while to see if it was just a to short issue or what that was causing it to never fully disengage.

Found that a could of "Yankee Engineered" belt guides and the belt works as it should. The unit is much safer now.

I adjusted the tiller's carb a little. I put a new one on it and full throttle just isn't enough so I think I need to tweek the governer linkage a little.

Next I put the blow back on the kubota and turned the garnden back over. I plan to pick up a ton of sand tonight to mix in to the heavy clay that is spread throughout the newer garden area.

I have had a rough week, and decided to relax a little before comming home, with a stop at Harbor Freight. I bought me a couple new toys to help with tuning the engines. Now I can set the Idle and Governed rpm's. Right now Idle is a little high, and governed a little low. Mostly due to the carb work last weekend.

Put the dash back on the 18/6 Sears. Managed to get it running and take a victory lap.
The hour meter started clicking away as soon as I turned on the key :D

I still have to see if I can get the PO to look for the air cleaner and some other little parts.

I also readjusted the vari drive and clutching for the Allis B112... Looking for that "Halfwayinbetween" spot, getting closer. Loosened the brake a little, was grabbing before clutching was fully engaged.
