A couple of days ago I managed to install some 25x10x12 ATV tires on my MF12 G. Got them cheap at a yard sale, so even though they are worn, they do answer some questions for me about fit and appearance.

Next step is to try plowing with them, but before I can plow I had to move the sleeve hitch from the Massey 12 Hydro over to the 12G. Everything fits EXCEPT the rod that runs from the lift lever back to the lifting bar, which is about 2 inches too long. SO, I took a peice of flat steel, drilled some holes in it to accept a 1/2 inch pin, and then used the flat steel with the pins to attach the lift lever to the lift bar.

Mostly did nothing today. Finally I put a tube in the right front tire on my Allis 620. The tire always leaks slow at the bead, so today I just put a new tube in it that I've had for some time. That's about it!

Brought the 2520 home from the neighbors, and got them all out except the 445. Pics to come.

I decided to just mask off the Hydrostatic decals and once everything has cured, go back and shoot the clear coat over the decals. Just didn't want to wait as I need this little machine up and running ASAP.

Mowed... lost the second belt on my Craftsman... two belts in two weeks but at least now they are all new, new bat and new starter. Sharp blades too... this thing should be good for another decade or two now.

Gonna put two more weights on the 630 on the left side for the fair and then I guess I'll have to wash and wax it too.

Finished up the fender pan last night and may have figured out a "reasonable" way of adding gear lube to the trans. Will report back, if it works. :laughingteeth:

Rear diff is full ! :dancingbanana: The unit IS NOT sealed for life as I was led to believe from the JD dealer. Turns ot that there is a fill plug located behind and in between the lever linkage for the hydro and brake return lever. Nearly impossible to get to without turning the tractor on its' side, which is what I ended up doing. I used the drain plug as the fill hole, as using the actual fill hole, would have required a piece of tubing connected to the 80W-90 bottle. When on its' side, the two plugs are at the same level so there was no difference in the amount of fluid that the transaxle would hold, in either position.

Here is a photo:

You can see the fill plug on the right side of the axle and how it is level with the drain plug, when on its' side.

Also ordered several small parts that the mower was missing when I purchased it. While I'm waiting for them, I'll be back on the dumbwaiter project.

Dash tower painted and waiting for satin gloss clear on the black plastic piece with the lettering. All the raised lettering and decals on this machine are in VERY good condition so in order to protect them, they are going to get cleaned and covered in satin clear.

Brought the 630 home from the fair and hooked it up to the 1600 3b plow. Working it getting it good to go in the ground. Sigh, these rusty bolts on the plow can be frustrating.

Went to Valu Home Center and bought 12 gal of Windshield Washer Fluid. Got one tire filled before it started raining.

Kept thinking I'd get back to the second one before this evening... kinda gave up when it started hailing.

On the upside, I got some 1-1 time with Ryan

Working on getting ready for the winter. Sharpened all my mower blades, 4 sets of 3. I just switch them as they get dull or abused. Rocks and iron just mess them all up. I wait for cooler temps to spend time sharpening and balanceing them. I also changed tranny oil, engine oil, hydruallic fluid, and front diff lube on the RT5000. Also checked the final drive fluid levels. Then I replaced the cutting edges on both dozer blades for the Hondas.
