Put a new battery in the craftsman duece, pulled the dash off an cleaned the ign switch terminals. Still have to tap on the starter if she is cold so I've still got to address that issue but at least now I've got a trim mower. Pulled the side panels, hood and rad screen off of the bota and cleaned said parts. degreased everything and blew everything out with some air. I could tell the rad hadn't been blown out in about 15 of it's 40 years of life. still hunting for a new battery for her... I've been jumping her off the truck for a few days now. Also it looks like I've got a leaky front output seal which explains why she likes to mark her spot.

With the help of the GTTalk experts, I managed to figure out the fuel smelling gas issue with my MF/Dynamark 14. Ripped off the carb and fuel pump, broke the screws off in the choke shaft, drilled them out... ordered a new fuel pump and now it's waiting time!

I bought some new tires for my Cub Cadet 147. I didn't really need them, since turf tires and chains had me plowing just fine last week. The new tire are Ag tread, mounted on Cub Cadet rims, filled with antifreeze, and with chains. Ags and chains seems redundant to me, but I'll go with it for now.

I put the new wheels on, but one on my wheel weights fought me coming off, so it will have to wait until next weekend when I can get new carriage bolts.

I also messed with the brakes that either don't work, or always drag. I think I need new springs and new pads.

While messing with the wheels and weights, my 5 year old son 'helped.' He kept asking about the "Nerf" tires, and it took me a while to figure out he meant "turf" tires. This is the same little boy who thought I was saying "coconut" instead of Cub Cadet, and "Bolman"(his Grandpap's last name) instead of Bolens. So we have two Coconuts and a Bolman.

Changed oil in the 105 and the 420 and finally got the hydrostatic fluid changed in the 420. Adjusted the creep out of the 420 too. Now all the 420 needs is a couple of new battery cable ends.
