I guess it was "to the tractor"... I took off the JBjr to mow the lawn then put the JBjr. back on and took off the deck so's I can move firewood tomorrow. I didn't even break a sweat. :orangecool:

put some diesel additive in the fuel, found the rear diff leak. Adjusted the 3pt let down so that it doesn' SLAM the mower down any more. Also got prices on a couple of parts... one being a selector valve for the hydraulics to divert the fluid to an aux impliment. $500 bucks... Looks like I'll just be tapping into the main HP line when it comes time for a FEL.

Not a tractor, but I used my 10 HP Troy-Bilt yesterday to chip 3 small branches. It sounded like it had a bearing going out or something! Today, I took the outer cover off the shredder housing & found a stick caught behind the hammer drum (for lack of better terminology). Sharpened the shredder blade while I was in there & put it back together. Sounds much better now! :D ~~ Lowell

I went and bought the correct drive belt for my Ford 80, and installed it. There was no belt when I bought it last week. Adjusted the brake and clutch. I checked the oil, dark but there! It will be changed now that I know it runs. I learned how to shift the gears and did a few laps of the yard.
Here she is.

That little ford looks fun!!!

All I did to mine was glance at it and wish I had some time to tinker on it.

Pulled the deck off the DLT 3000 to replace the belt which was worn out. Found one of the idler pulleys was also frozen and missing some of the ball bearings. Replaced the pulley with one from a deck in the not really junk pile. Then I power washed the deck and dried it with the leaf blower, oiled the bearings on the two idlers and put the deck back on. Ready to mow Friday since we got that inch of rain and the grass & weeds are green and growing again.

Let it sprinkle, might be a while before you get any more rain!

Moved one step closer to finishing the engine installation on my "Dump Massey" today. I installed a new choke cable, cut it to length, and managed to secure it to the engine so that the choke lever moved correctly. I also dismounted the built in key switch from the engine and mounted it under the dash on the right side of the steering tower. Now I can stay in my seat through all the starting process.
