Wored on my craftsman today. New drive belt and battery. Kept throwing the drive belt. Took the transaxle out and discovered the pulley wobbled. Took it off and the keyway and half moon key were badly worn. Tomorrow trip to the local garden equipment store for a new one. Then hopefully put this machine to work.

Last Friday I pulled the 42'' deck off my CC106 and pulled the blades, went over both sides of the blades with a heavy wire cup brush in the angle grinder to clean of the caked on dried grass and sharpened and balanced all three. Seems to run a little smoother now as the big middle blade was heavy on one end. These blades are carbide faced on the bottom so it didn't take much to sharpen them. I grazed the top of a water meter pit a while back and I was kind of wondering what shape they were in. Looked untouched to me, maybe the water meter pit top is lower now.

Continued to work on the snowblower attachment for the landlord. Painted the chute and covers. Started cleaning the auger / blades. Found that one of the bearings is split so now I need to find a replacement.

EDIT: Aetna Bearing is still in operation and still make those bearings. I sent in a price quote for two bearings.

Broke my Tractor ,Rover Rancher 2 , i twisted a shaft off 20160819_153507.jpg                  20160819_153554.jpg

Had to V grind the shaft & weld & i put gussets on the shaft to the sprocket to reinforce it so it can't flex so much under stress

20160819_153525.jpg  then had to panel beat the brake rotor disc so as to re mount the brake calliper,

but i'm going to cut another shaft & remount the 2 sprockets on it  to get away from this repaired 1

Tore down the snowplow I got with the Allis B10. Not sure if I should paint it AC Orange to match the landlord or AC Yellow to match the B10.

Started building the hitch for my CC 3208, didn't get much done, but know the direction now.
