Thanks all, that was the first time I got to hear it run at full throttle :laughingteeth:
Not getting full travel out of the cable for some reason, now she wont come all the way down to a slow idle. May look into that tonight.

Been working on the diesel repower project. I took the flywheel & bell housing off today, used my plasma cutter to modify the bell housing, ground the edges smooth & reinstalled the 2 parts. I also pulled the JB into my shop & modified the frame rails a bit. I am just "roughing it in" for now. Tomorrow if all goes smooth on the farm, I might get the engine cradle mounts modded so I can sit the diesel in the tractor frame! Will be nice having it in the frame & running, just to get the "diesel tractor" effect! I will start a "diesel repower thread" any time.

Got the rear blade on my 420. The hardest part was getting the tiller off. I'm not sure how long it's been on there...the guy I bought it from said he used it as a counter-weight for the loader, and I've been doing the same. I know he never cut grass with it last year, because he bought that 2305, so I'd assume the tiller has been attached for at least two years. The PTO hook-up was reluctant to separate from the tractor, at any rate. It took some WD-40 and a beer and a pry-bar to get the collar to move. I put some penetrating oil on it after I got it off though, and now it works like new.

The other hard part was taking the blade off the back of my truck. I lifted it and hauled it over close to the tractor, and then I realized I'm kind of stupid. A perfectly good loader sitting there and I'm unloading heavy things by hand.

I changed a headlight in the Wheel Horse 314 before going out to plow some snow...in the dark LOL! Figured it'd be nice to see where I was going for a change.

Got some garage time with Ryan & the MF10.
It's gonna push us to have it mechanically sound for PA PLOW DAY, never mind the pretty.
We're only able to get together 1 day a week on it & maybe every other Fri PM.

Today we finished up the gaskets for the engine, & it's back together. Got it back on the frame (temporarilly) and tried it with the starter. Turns over, makes spark & runs with Carb Cleaner. We oiled the cyl before assembly & put a little more in before the start attempt. She started right up.
Also got the shifter out of the donor we wire brushed & alum painted to keep the rust at bay.
Also drained the "oil & water mix" from the rear end.
Now for the carb rebuild. That thing is NASTY.

Yesterday I filled the fuel tanks on both of my snow removal tractors. Today I purchased some more stuff off of Ebay for a good deal. I found 3 sets of mower blades for my 48" mower decks for $5.00 + S&H.
