I bought a JD 216 last Saturday and adjusted the carb to stop it from hunting. Works good now.

Fired up the MF1855 & original condition JBI & pulled out of the shed so I could get the parts JB in an easy to get at spot. With the upcoming diesel conversion project, I'll be doing a lot of measuring & head scratching. Then pulled the 2 tractors back under roof.

Did you get it for a good price because it wasn't running right? I hope so. I like deals like that!

I dunno. The last one like that I ran across the guy wanted $2,000 for. It was a John Deere "2 something" and he "thought the snowblower worked" but it had stopped running. He said, "I'm sure a guy like you can get it running." A guy like who? He'd never spoken to me before. I never took the hour-long drive to go see it.

So how come everybody else can find these deals and all I can find is guys like that?

I put in some synthetic blend into the Custom 7, now it SMOKES. I've got the wife picking up some 10w-30 while she's in town... Maybe that wasn't such a good idea. Well, it smoked a little before, but not like this.

Heated up the garage and took off some of the sheet metal the JD430. Really haven't given it the once-over sense I bought it late fall. The Hi/Low selector has been hard to move and the posi-lock was hit or miss plus other miner problems. Hope to get the new tires on this week.:orangecool:

Thanks, hope they perform as good as I think they look :smile1: As soon as the snow has melted, I'll let ya know how they do in the yard. May tear the yard to pieces when turning :confuse:

Ask Daniel for proper cornering techniques, I'm sure he'll have some helpful suggestions.
Something like:"If it wasn't green, the tires wouldn't do that" Or "Buy a RED tractor & solve all your problems"

The tires look great. Anxiously awaiting the updates.

Hmmm, my Dad always told me that JD's were Green with envy at the other brands.

:poke: Thanks for being a sport.
