I am really happy with my tractor, I tried it out and beat out the craftsman mower by half the time ! the craftsman is a 2000 series and has worked great, but the hydro made the job way easier , and faster. its pretty amazing how mice this old tractor mows. Lawn has never looked so good. One thing I noticed is the craftsman mower deck hangs below suspended. the mf 16 runs along on the wheels ,so it never gouges. sweet. I also noticed the mower speed seemed faster on the mf 16. along with the infinite speed control , I am happy !

I believe that the older mowers had heavier built decks on them It seems that the old iron mows a lot better than most of the new ones.

Yep, hydro is king in my book, and the Massey's do a great job mowing as well.

Yes they make a good mower, I had a MF14 with the mower on it and it did good job, lots of power at the blades to cut heavy grass.

Some pictures of it.

And some pictures of the MF16 I still have.

Mowing with the "real" GT's  is also more enjoyable for sure.
