My dad bought a John deere 140 h1 at a auction. It's in good condition but hood it a little cut up. When we got it it ran really nice but didnt move. We forgot the ramps because we weren't going to buy anything. Well you know how that goes. So a couple of guys and my dad lifted it in the back of his truck. We got home put trany fluid in it and runs and moves. My dad paid $400 for it and had brand new carisle tru powers in the back. I thought that was a steal.

That was a steal. The best deals happen when your not planning on buying. I wish I had those rear skins. My baby GEDC0234.JPG

colinmf12:

Sounds like you guys got a good deal. Over 20 years ago I bought a 140 H1 with cab, snowblower, and deck for about $1400. Worked it pretty hard and sold the tractor and deck for $375 in late 2011. SOld the cab and snowblower separately. I'm pretty sure I got good worth out of it, and I'm sure you will too.

Here is my old 140 and deck before I sold it.
