Found this on ebay, and thought it was pretty interesting.

The good Old days when most kids actually played outside and used their imagination!

That is interesting. I don't think I've ever seen an ad for that before. It would be neat to stumble across one of those new in the box somewhere.

It would be nice to find one sitting on a shelve somewhere but these would have to be very rare indeed.

Wonder what HP they were. 5.76 cubic inches= 95 cubic Centimeters.

Wowsers.. Running a merry go round with a 95cc engine. Someone better hold on.

That is interesting. I can remeber when the Clintons and Power Products engines were commonly used on Karts.

Pretty neat. Back in the 60's there were kits for all kinds of stuff. Remember Heathkit for electronic kits! That's the first engine kit I've seen. When I wanted and engine for a Kart I ordered a 5hp Band S from Sears!  The first mower I used was a 2.5hp Clinton and by the time we replaced that in the mid 70's there were no more Clinton engines in mowers, at least not in Canada.

I've always wanted a "Little Injun" just for the heck of it.  2 1/8 bore would make that a Panther 400 series.

I bet a kit like that today would have to marked "16 and order under adult supervision" just for the legal nonsense.

Haven't read the article yet, but I just got in from mowing the yard, and a tiny bug got in my eye, and it's still in there giving me blurry vision.  At first I thought the title read "Cotton Literature"  :rolling:
