Here is my current situation I bought a Massey Ferguson 1650 with 3 point hitch and rear pto pretty nice deck it runs good just needs drive shaft work and splines on hydro trans are gone it will also need a paint job too. So should I go ahead and keep this tractor or start looking for a JD 140-H3 is there more parts out there for these compared to mine?  Also that about attachments I would love to have either my Massey with a front end loader or a 140-h3.  Just seams parts are hard to find for my tractor.

A 140 I know a little about, I have owned a couple.  I have a H1 that I am looking to sell.  I found a JD 300 that I like.  I have a tiller, a snow blower, a 46 inch mower deck, and a intergral hitch for it.  These attachments would hook up to a 140 too, but I don't worry so  much about tearing up the front end on the 300 like I did with the 140 H3 I used to have.   I don't know much about your Massey, except that parts for them are a lot fewer and far between than John Deere parts.   But, that 1650 Massey is a beast!   Strong and lots of power....16hp motor too.  The JD 140 has a 14 hp motor in it.

It all boils down to what do YOU like, what is it that YOU want.

Your going to pay more for the 140 3pt hitch.Attachments for the 140 are expensive also. I'm sure it'll cost a fair amount to get yours usable again. It all boils down to what you like more.

Sounds like you should repair the 1650.

I hope you get out of it pretty inexpensively.

I can't tell you anything god or bad about a JD140. Never been near one.

Hopefully that guy comes through for you, with the hydro, and you can get

the 1650 going.

I have one, and just love it.

I'd fix the Massey, and then buy a 140 too!

words of wisdom... or just bad advice from a GTaholic.

I sure would like a 1650 too :D
