Check your inbox, I sent you a PM Yesterday titled "Ignition"

I would also check with our site sponsors like MH81 suggested, they may have some good used gears at a decent price. NOS gears are expensive no matter where you go but $300 for a used set of gears seems ridiculous to me.

When the Wisconsin quits running have you taken out the plug to see if your getting spark?

The service manual below has a wiring diagram for your engine

http://gardentractor...ervice600-1155/

Yes I did no spark whatsoever, some of the wiring is also bad need to go though it? Cannot shut engine down by the key either. It takes a small screwdriver to ground it out. Can I do an ohms test on the packs to see if I get continuity?

You may want to check your connections and ignition switch first before you think about the ignition module. If you have a volt meter you can check your connections for continuity

Hello All

I wanted to wish you a good holiday, and a safe one... I am going to try and contact Sam Bolens one more time to see what reaction

I get again? He was not to freindly last time, I need to get my other 1254 running. The mower under it is like a small bush hog I need knock some stuff down with it.

Funny you say that

Sam dosen't like me either.

Last time I dealt with him he said he was too busy to be bothered looking for the part numbers I gave him.

Yea he told me the same thing, I found a sonny.bolens also see what kind of reply I get? Thanks for helping me out here some I like when they run hate when they don't. I told him I would never deal with him again? And I would spread the word about him, if he is tired of it, sell the business to someone more compassionate and appreciate quality Bolens tractors.

I am going to look it over again, I need a new building to store my toys in. If you hear of anyone with a plow board I could use one also.

I need my 1254 to mow the graveyard off in West Virginia, also to keep up with other maintenance there. My family is all buried upon a mountain, road to it get rough. And i don't like being chased by rattle snakes while push mowing. I figured to get these going and pull them down on a weekend. These old tractors are great mountain climbers.

Aw man so much for that, I guess I will swallow my pride maybe. I bet he bought Sonny out? I got a response about him adding additional parts earlier this year. I wished I had my machine shop ready? I would just make everything mechnically and find other ways to go around him. I don't know. Parts are so darn expensive for these, half the items that wear I could make for half the cost?

I may try this first if I do not find any wiring problems, I am going to thouroughly go through it replace bad wiring with the right wire ends and what it takes.

What are you in need of?

gears for 1254 is my first project, and paint, and a few worn items such as bushings and odds and ends, new wiring, clutch discs I believe that will get me started.

I know I thought just maybe the pickup under flywheel would surfice as the coil, and create a spark through that device.
