Tonight I replaced a Briggs starter gear.  I bought the OEM Briggs replacement items (696540) for the princely sum of  $27.95 + 13% tax.  Anyway, here are the installation instructions that came with the kit.  Not helpful, given that mine destroyed everything above the gear itself.  Youtube saved my but.

Did you try reading it all three languages? Maybe one of the others would've made sense...

I got the same kit and thought, boy is they gave you just a little more info you might be able to fix your starter. :(
