for the past two weekends, I have bought a new toy. I bought a Cub Cadet 70 with a snow blower and mower deck which I will give my dad for his B- Day gift (father son project) and this weekend i got a sears Suburban 12. I will be giving my dad the cub on Friday. i havent started to get either running yet due to work but hope to have both restored this summer.

Looks like two good rescues!  I hope the restoration is hard enough to be fun but easy enough to not be frustrating for you.

Do I see a creeper gear there too? What a great find on the Cub! Find some fenders and you will have a real beauty. The 70/100 is my favorite Cub.

Nice Sears 12, with that belt starter, and color scheme... I'd venture a guess at 68-69 for a model year
Oops, where are my manners? Nice cub too.
