Today I pulled two more mowers from the woods. Both are ariens in the early 70' s. it all started when I bought an ariens fairway with a broken axle, I made a temporary axle for it but not something I would put to much trust in. I was planning on taking the axle to school and machining a new comlete axle but my uncl tells me I can have his old fairway which he abandoned in the woods after the engine blew. sitting near the fairway was an old Manorway which I liked so I took that too. the tractor was parked due to the PTO gear not working. he says the PTO is stripped out, so if the axle is in good shape and I dont have to make one, I will machine new gears for the PTO. below are pics of the fairway I bought, and the two I pulled from the woods.

Twenty years ago, a friend disassembled a riding mower. He gave me the box of parts with axles, seat, and transaxle housing. It looks the same as yours(by my memory). If you end up needing one contact me in two weeks when I get home. You can have it for the same price I paid. Good Luck, Rick

There ought to be a few decent parts out of those machines.

Yeah, he can't see the forest for the GT's... Sorry. :D

Nice riders in the rough. Be fun seeing them come together.
