Hey all.

I am looking to rebuild a Bolens Super Mustang tiller.

Does anyone have an owners Manual for one?

My MN is M16A04, with a 3 hp cast iron Clinton on it, MN 9002170.

Cute little thing that still runs well.

I would love to have all the right info to fix it instead of guessing.

Ideas?

Thanks.

Here is a pict of one like it, only prettier.

LOL those machines look familiar to me :D The tiller in the picture is a 1952 M.E. (Milwaukee Equipment)  It was made before Bolens bought the company. I haven't found a lot of info on these, and I have never come across a manual.

Also the one in the picture has a Briggs 5S on it right now, But I am building the Clinton for it. I just put the Briggs on it so my dad could use it sooner.

Some info I have indicates the M16A Tillers were produced in 1956 & 1957, and had a 3hp Clinton model 3100 engine.

After reading this post I realized the one I bought at an auction yesterday is probably the M16A.  It does have the original 3100 on it.  You don't need one for parts, do you?  Or does anyone know the length of the belts, or have a spare tine guard on it?

Ben,

The belt for the M16 is supposed to be GATES belt 6833.

The rest of the parts you are looking for are staying on my tiller, sorry.

Ken
