what is a good price for a non-running Massey Ferguson 8? i am wanting to sell it but i am not sure what these tractors are worth? it has the original engine in it. comes with mower deck but does not have rear tires. comes with rims only. front tires hold air.

thanks! -Nick

Sounds like pretty much a parts only machine.  The problem with that is every other one in the country also needs an engine.  Those short lived Tecumseh engines were the death of the Massey 7's and 8's.  They were otherwise very well built machines.  I'm going to refrain from placing an actual dollar amount on the tractor but I'm guessing a couple of value meals from the local Mickey D's would be right in line.    Super Size if you like.

Best of luck!

ive mowed grass with it before the wiring became junk. when the wiring went i took it all out and then i never wired it back up. the wires didnt burn they just became old and cracked and didnt make a good connection. the rear tires were blew out so i junked them and it didnt want to run correctly so i parked it and let it sit for a long time and now i dont know if it would start back up or not. it ran good enough to drive but  i wouldnt recommend mowing with it because the motor has a pretty bad knock and smokes some. if i took some time i could probably get it running good enough to keep it running atleast. i just dont have alot of patience for tecumsehs so i would just like to get this thing out of here and wasnt sure which route to go. sell it or scrap it.

thanks!

It would be worth a little more if its an odd config.

Like a 7 hydro, the 8 gear was less common... Etc.

The nose ring, hood and dash may be worth a few$, pics will help.
