Brian:

Can you separate the two pieces, and send some pics of how they mate together?  ....It may help ID a mower or snowblower attachment.

Did you find the B&S numbers?  .....Is it a 6BH ?

I'm going to have to soak those Hand wheels with some kroil as they look like they are pretty rusted.

There is another ID tag on the tiller itself but I couldn't read it with the 2 halves together.

Is there any date of printing on the manuals?

No Unfortunately :(

The engine Numbers were hard to see but I think the first two digits of the code were 59

The manual said that when the 2060-04 came out that year it had an improved system where the engine would slide forward to engage the attachments. The older systems used an idler tension system.

Got the till pak off to inspect what was underneath.

Uncovered the instruction Decal :D

Looked at the engine a bit to see if If it could be started but the Push rod for the points appears to be frozen in there. I have a couple new ones to use since I'm pretty sure I'm going to damage it trying to take it out since it is a fiber material.

Wow, so from the looks of this thing, the whole engine slides forwards or backwards, with the help of those springs underneath the engine mounting plate, in order to engage or disengage the belts to run the attachments?  That's pretty neat.  Simplistic, but effective I guess...  And this was the "upgrade" they devised to eliminate an idler pulley to engage the belt instead?

Yeah, I cant believe they didnt sell more of these with the versatility and easy to change attachments.

The Engine slides back and forth on the lower plate increasing/ decreasing the belt tension.

Older units just had the engine stationary with an idler pulley to engage

Got carried away and took her all apart today.

i figured it was small and simple enough to get it restored along with the ride-a-matic since they used the same colors :D

I have this same machine as you have . mine says Bolens power pak . on the tag it says type # 60A 03 and serial #10380 the base part tag by the main pulley to the gearbox says 10484 . I got the machine out of my brothers shed he bought a house and the man that lived there left alot of stuff behind. i knew it was in the shed for 7 years now but never really looked at it. untill 2 weeks ago. so I pulled it out and the oil was clean . i cleaned the spark plug and put in new gas just to see and im not kidding one pull and it fired off and it runs smooth . so i shut it down to check everything else and all looks good . so i ran it again . everything works, still has original paint and decals too . would like to know what year its from if you find out . good luck with your resto. I will try to post pics of mine later . I am new to this site today

Would any members have a parts diagram/manual for this series they could share?

I can send a NOS ignition points for Clinton engine if needed.
