Maybe one of these days I'll get it back out.  I have a couple digital conversion boxes I could hook to it to watch programs on it.  



If nothing else it will put out some heat to help warm the house. The other thing I remember about them is taking a while to come on when first started up.

Thanks guys. Tubes are still available. High end guitar amps still use them. The quality of sound from a tube amp can't be duplicated.

Some fairly modern ham equipment still uses tubes, too.  My HF transceiver has a couple in it.

Thanks for sharing that.  I did one small project in High School Electronics shop with some tubes.  What your grandfather accomplished there is amazing.  Congrats to you for keeping it operational.
