Does someone have the dimensions (or can measure) of the front quick hitch, specifically, the dimensions near the implements. I am thinking about building an cat0 implement that I could eventually attach also on a front JD quick hitch.

In short I would need the spacing between the 2 upper and 2 lower "hook points" (inside of the mounts, should be the same for upper and lower) and also the distance between the upper and lower "hook points"

Thank you guys!

MacWorld:

Are you talking about the front attachment on a 140, or 318?  Here are some pictures of my old 140 that show the attachment points. I don't have it anymore, but do have a 318, and the distances should be the same.

If this is what you want, I can measure my 318 and post the numbers.

No, in fact it's the dimensions at the implements I need, AFAIK, not all JD have the same frame mounts and that's why there are many front quick hitches available.

But, yeah if you can tell me the dimensions of your 318 it could also help on another project!

The dimensions I need are at the left of this picture, the width between the two upper "V" (or U) and the space between the bottom of the V and the pins at the bottoms that "locks" the implements to the hitch

Thanks!

Finally getting around to getting those dimensions to you. Including a picture of my 318 for reference.

SAM_1353.JPG

Front Vertical Main Mounting Brackets (either side of the hydraulic couplers)

- 13 1/4" between on the inside

- 13 3/4" between on the inside

All hole dimensions are to/from the center of the holes. All holes and the slot will fit a 5/8" bolt easily.

Top side hole on the above mounting bracket:

- 3" back from the front and 1 1/2" down

Next hole down

- 4 1/2" back from the front of the bracket (which angles a little towards the back) and 3 3/4" down

Slot near the bottom

- 5" to 5 1/4" down and directly below the above hole.

Bottom hole (just back and below the slot

- 1" back and 3/4" below the center of the slot.

Hope this is what you want, and that it helps.

Harlan

Yes that helps! Thanks!

Someone else has the dimensions at the implement's side? Anyone with a 47" snowblower should be able to help me even if they don't have the quickhitch as the quickhitch AFAIK can be added to any 47" snowblower by removing the original hitch.

Thanks in advance

Got my answer by anoying a JD dealer and they let me measure on a 47" snowblower with quick hitch they had in stock

The mounts on the quick hitch at the snowblower are 16" 3/8 wide (I guess the blower is probably 16" wide and the 3/8" extra is to ease aligning the hitch to the blower when moving the tractor). The top posts are 7" center-to-center from the holes at the bottom of the hitch where the hitch "locks" to the blower.

I didn't think measuring the height of the holes/posts from the ground.

Hope this helps someone.
