Since Steph slaughtered chickens this week I have a big pile of livers and some friends are coming over tomorrow night. SO I had to come up with a good recipe. I have used a couple of different ones and didn't really like any of them.

So I went into mad scientist mode and came up with THE BEST DANG PAN FRIED CHICKEN LIVER you will ever eat.

You will need.

Garlic salt.

Balsamic vinegar

Worcestershire sauce

Cowboy beer can chicken rub

Beer.

Canola oil

I never mix anything so you will have to guess at the measurements.

In a container mix several splashes of Worcestershire sauce. A couple of good shakes of garlic salt, a heavy dose of beer can chicken rub, and beer. Put in chicken livers and refrigerate overnight.

In a pan of your choosing (I use a cast iron skillet) add canola oil and place on medium heat. Fry livers until cooked throughout.

Grab a fork and enjoy.

I don't eat livers, but my wife loves them!

Julia Child once said she like men in cooking classes because men could ad-lib for measurements and improvise if missing some ingredient.

That sure sounds like a good way to eat the chicken livers.  I'll try it next slaughtering time.

When is the pigeon heart fry? Love those, but have a hard time saving enough to cook up through the slaughter process.

If I ever am forced to eat my car, the oil filter would be about the last thing I would tackle...

My parents still tell the story on me about my first exposure to Liver and Onions... They start giggling and try to imitate the shudder I did.
I have NEVER been able to gag that stuff down. I am sure yours is much less repulsive than most, (beer) but I think I will pass.
Thanks for sharing your recipe, enjoy.

LIver is the best part of the chicken. If you don't like it you have no tastebuds or you are just defective.
