Has anyone heard of a tractor called a New Englander? A guy tells me he has a garden tractor and he says its a New Englander. I would like to know if it actually exsists. thanks

MTD made some under that name at some point, probably the 80s. I believe they were usually orange.

Never heard of it, but if it was MTD and 1980's, I bet collector value isn't very high.  That's just my uneducated guess.

Depends on the specifications. (Year, HP, Conditon, Model)....

MTD made such a wide variety, it's hard to price without other information. Could be up to $300 IMO running good. If it needs work, maybe more in the $100-$200 range depending on what it needs....

It looks like the standard "11/38" Lawn Tractor that are plentiful. Watch out for safety switches and locked up brakes.  The varispeed drives become tempermental with corrosion. I've been given a few of them and unfortunately they were worn out. Be critical of the codition and don't pay much. Your money may be better spent on a garden tractor. Good Luck, Rick

I recently put out a question regarding a NEMedallion tractor for sale near me and I was able to get a little information but not much. I have only seen two pictures of these tractors and have to assume they made more than two. The one I have seen for sale recently is listed as 22hp so I was wondering what other MTD made tractor that would be in line with.
