BUddy of mine has a real sexy wife and...

no no no im kidding.. This is about a Jeep CJ Go kart body..

He has had it hanging on his wall for three years. His kids are almost too big to fit in it if he built a chassis for it. He loves the thing but it just hangs on the wall.. How should a guy go about offering money for it? Show up with a wad of cash and lay it on his work bench? Talk about price before pulling out said wad?? He is a good buddy.. and i know he loves that dang thing.. BUT it just hangs there...

Tread softly and carry a big wad of cash.  If that won't work, ask to borrow it for your kids.

Good luck and keep us updated.

Start off by talking about building one for your kid, G. Let him fill in the blanks.

Wink, wink, nod-nudge.

It may have special sentiment to him. Most of us here are sentimental about certain tools and machines so, be gentle. Good Luck, Rick

Just make him feel super guilty about not doing anything with it. Then let him know you'd be happy to put it to good use.

If that don't work, hit him over the head with a club and just take it. Plead insanity, we will all back you up on that if need be.

Well... he called .. I said to him.. Tell me to p off any time... I would like to talk to you about the jeep. Now to let ya know how much he knows me he has three jeeps and he knew right off the bat what i was talking about. He says to me yup i will sell it to you. He continues on with When i do that electrical work for you and haul your cj5 home we can deal then.   Here all along it would cost me a small fortune to get it. Its not going to cost me any cash.. just some trading on the cj5.. hey.. i'm happy he is happy..

Ken.. I was going to go down your suggested route lol...

Well, that's neat that you're getting the Jeep, but I just can't help but

thinking, that there might me something else you may want to talk about?

Lets go back to your opening line, about the "sexy wife".

You know, there are a lot of us here, that call our GTs "her".

There's nothing really wrong with what you've got going there, by taking it

to the next level, and calling a Jeep, "wife".

At least, I don't think so, but what do I know. I'm not licenced.  :poke:  :D
