Guys I just thought I would mention what I seen yesterday at Lowes

As we were parking a man pulled in a couple spaces from us with a kubota diesel 4wd hydro

rwith a belly mower a  fel and a box blade

this was a fairly clean looking gt . I don't remember the model no but it was small

I went over and talked to the man and he had just bought it for $975 He said the man told him it had an intermittent issue with the hydrostat He wasn't sure what yr it was as he said the 4th owner

I told him about our site and he said would check it out

The tractor itself didn't look much bigger than my 314

Just yakin cause it caught my eye  Sorry I couldn't take picture

Larry it could have been a BX1500 or one of the newer small BX tractors. Diesel, 2 speed transmission, 4wd - a very nice little tractor with 24" rear tires.

Kubota also made a 4wd garden tractor, the GR2/2100 series. Not sure if you could get a loader for one of those, though.

At the price he said he paid it would almost have to be a late 70's early 80's Kubota(and even at that a great price). They made some really nice ones that were little bigger than a GT.  And they will do a lot of serious work. In the brands section(Kubota) last week Twostep posted some good pictures of his B1500E. Quick tip, if they have an E sufix they are 2 WD and the 4WD's have a DT(Duel Traction)sufix to the model #.

When I bought my Ford 1500, I was trying to make an appointments to look at 2 B6200E's about 16 hp and had 16" rear wheels.

I would still like to have a Kubota, but may never get one since I'm so pleased with my Ford?

Sorry Larry I should have said 24x12/12 - 12" rims. If you go on the Kubota site they still sell a BX1870 which is the latest version. I've often thought of one of those as a nice downsized tractor for my property. The 2320 seems to be getting bigger as the shrubs and trees grow around the trails I have to negotiate.
