I recently purchased a G42000H with a RC40-G deck mounted to it. I am in the process of repairing and replacing all the neglected parts on the machine. The front links that mount the deck to the tractor have been homemade before me. I'm just not sure that the lengths/angles have been made correct. If anyone has a similar model and could check the length to each bend and then the length from tip to tip it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jim

I just sold my G4200, but to my FIL, so when I get time to go visit, I could take measurements.  I figure someone will get that for you before I can though.

Thank you, olcowhand.  That would be much appreciated.  Yes it seems that the links are keeping the deck too much to the rear of the machine and not letting me mount in front holes on lift arms because of the length and also not letting deck come up off the ground much when raised.

Jim

Member Cvans, name Chris also has a G4200, so I figure he will get the measurements before I get time to do so.   But if not, I will sooner or later.  I'll PM a link to this thread.

Thanks Daniel for enlightening me on this. I do still have some links here on one tractor and will look into the measurements. Now I have to find that deck.  :hitting_self_roller:

I'll try and get back to you by tomorrow at the latest.

See if these help you out. If you need any other information let me know. I will keep the link near the computer for a while. The the rod diameter is very close to 5/8th inch.

Just a note here. There are two different lengths of these links available. One of my tractors came with the wrong links and it made it impossible to adjust the deck properly. If I remember correctly you need the longer set.

Chris, Can you get an overall length from hole to hole so I can see which set I have?

Looks like mine are 15 11/16" center to center on the holes.
