Hey Guys,
I am rebuilding the K341 on my MF16. I was told the fuel pump is not necessary on this engine if the fuel is higher than the carb. Do you guys have any experience with this or suggestions?

My MF14's all have fuel pumps and the tank is higher than the carb, the Cub cadets don't have them and the tank is higher than the carb. I personally would put it back like it came, Mikes one of those guys that always has parts left over, know what I mean, lol. I just think that a restoration/repair should include putting all the pieces back on the tractor and engine. Theres a lot of pieces you could leave off, show no attention to detail, heck there might actually be a reason for the fuel pump, I'm not one of those guys that think I'm smarter than the engineer/designers.

Would have to ask the op what his preference would be on whether he wants to build it to original or bypass it. I think it is fine bypassing it even if you are doing a restore. One less thing to worry about too.
