Hi. Look beefy. I see you went from a one to a two pulley system. What's your end use for the two pulleys now? Thanks for sharing.

Nice fabrication on the pulleys. And a vac too. How about pic of it. Wow, you have some neat attachments!

Bill, very nice pulleys!  I have been tracking down a double pulley setup that I am missing for my 34 inch Ariens 831006 tiller.  Did you end up using the splined coupling, PN 1-1561 from SurplusCenter dot com and a 2AK34x1 3.45 inch pulley?  Is that a cap you welded onto the open end?  Thanks!  Great work!  I'd like to give this a try.

Yes, 2AK34X1, that splined coupler, and their 6" splined on one end shaft to line it up, had to counterbore the side with the coupler about 1/4" so I probably didn't really need the shaft, then I turned a headed plug that fit inside the pulley and bottomed out on the coupler

I'm guessing a piece of 1" round stock with a 1/32" over 3/8" hole would have worked just fine for the headed plug, Just so long as it bottoms out on the PTO shaft and is welded to the pulley, and I could have cut 1/4" off the coupler and not had to put the pulley in the lathe.

Oh, I should add that I have also replaced the pulley on the tiller with a 2AK51X3/4 and to get the 2 lined up is the reason I counterbored the pulley 1/4". puts the PTO shaft 1/4" into the pulley

You may need to go more. Maybe shoot for 3/8" or 1/2" and use some washers to shim it back out if need be.

Thanks very much for this information.  Again, nice work.  Beyond my fabrication capabilities, but I understand what's needed.
