So Ryan I have to ask, does it make you feel like Clark Kent? Pretty sure it was a 165 on the farm in the Smallville Tv series.

Good job. I worked on a dairy farm when I was a teenager so I never got to pull a plow like that but I do remember how good it felt to run the hay tedder and rake. That was a fair amount of responsibility that the farmer gave me and it looks like your grandfather felt like you earned the responsibility to plow as well.

 Cherish your time with grandpa.

I used to plow a couple thousand acres a year with a 200 horse John Deere and a 7 bottom plow. That was my favorite job on the farm. Sunup til Sundown turn the heater on in the morning AC in the middle of the day and back to the heater at sundown. Loved it.   One suggestion, to eliminate that ditch every three furrows,  turn that crank on the plow so the beams on the plow are parallel to the direction your plowing. My FIL had that same tractor and plow setup, and it would do a perfect job of plowing.

Thanks for sharing! Does this rig look familiar? This is our MF 165 Diesel with MF 74, 3-14" plow we bought last Fall. I tried plowing our garden last Fall, but it was a bit to wet, so hopefully this Spring there will be a time before planting that it can be done. I was the first time I had ever plowed with a moldboard plow(I have used a chisel plow).
