I've done some internet searches and was wondering where to get 15 inch ag tires .

My 990 MTD has 27 X 9.50 X 15" turfs on it now .

I'm finding it difficult to find Ag tires in 15 inch . I've seen a few in loader style tread , but would rather have a true bar or lug style agricultural tractor tire .

TIA , Jess

Jess, I have been looking for 3 years and haven't found any yet. It's either Turfs or Skid-Steer tires.

You'd think by now some manufacturer would carry them, since they exist in most other weird sizes.  By skid steer you mean "industrial" tread, right, Brian?  That modern almost ag style that comes on most new compact tractors these days?

If you can widen your rims, then these would sure give better traction than any R4.

Brian , thats the stye that I referred to as loader style , but your correct in that there usually referred to as bobcat or skid steer tires .

I'm not interested in them as there are of a  heavy sidewall ply that will ride hard and won't need air in them ....

My neighbor has a set like that on the front of his 4 wheel drive Kabota loader/backhoe and didn't know one was flat until it broke the bead on the rim .

We had a heck of a time getting it to reseal .

Olcowhand that is the style Ag  that I'm looking for .

I've widened 12" cub cadet rims before using two common  7-1/2 inch wide rims to make one 10 to 12 inch wide rim .

I wouldn't mind making these rims wider as the size of this 990 MTD would make the wider rear rims look really good .

But I'm gonna look around first to try and find the correct 9.5 width tire  .

Eric, they are. The first link goes to a tire that says "S/Steer" in the title with the "R4" also. I would want to see a photo of it to make sure it wasn't the Industrial tread.

The second one show they are out of stock. If you were referring to the 12.5 X 15 Ag tire.
