I haven't messed with these electric pumps so this is my first time.  I have a Kolher CH20S that was spewing fuel all over the place.  So I immediately went to the float being stuck or bad.  Took the carburetor apart and found several seals bad.  Cleaned the carburetor and replaced the seals.  Put it back on the engine and ran fine for a few minutes then gas everywhere.  So I do a quick check on the pump and showed about 3 psi.  I decided to see what would happen if I put my gravity feed tank on there, low and behold it runs like a champ, no problems.  So I decided to put the fuel pressure gauge back on and see what it is doing running.  Initially it shows about 3 psi but then after a minute or two the pressure starts climbing and left for 5 minutes it pegs the needle out at 10 psi.

The pump is a Mr. Gasket 42S so according to what I have read it should be good for this application.  Have any of you seen a pump that would build pressure like that?

figured out the problem.  When it was installed they hooked the power to the charging circuit instead of the normal (regulated) 12 volt side.  Rewired it and it works like a charm.
