Maybe it's a g14. It needs a gasket for the top of the transmission. It's got fast fresh gas in the tank. This for robbed parts so who knows what its missing other than engine tins. If anyone has extras let me know. I don't think this deck goes to this tractor. The ptos are different. he thought he was getting a better deal so he through in some baby ags. He even had the rear diff pin. Pics say a lot so here you go....

Not bad, can't help you on what it is, though.  The grill looks sort of Bolens.  The IH logo certainly helps the appearance either way!

Not sure what all the levers do. I must say the only thing cobbled up are the tire chains.

I'm starting to rethink my reaction as I've never seen the controls on a G14, aside from the welding on the pbrake, the others may be right.?

WOW....now that tire chain approach is certainly a new one for me!  What the heck were they thinking!!!!!  I know nothing about Bolens, but the deck may be correct, as you are missing the front half of the pto shaft, which would mate to the spline shaft on the jackshaft.

That guy is really lucky, he could have had this happen:

Bairlea, be really careful if you start doing anything with those tires.

Looks to be a G14 (Possibly)

Mid 70's

The deck is original from the time period and was originally black. The Frame on the tractor should be black but the hood should be white (Not an IH :D)

The knob with the custon "T" knob welded on it is the park brake

The Shift lever is in the center, to the right is the Hi/Low and the Lever to the left is the PTO.

The tires will come off if it runs. I should know tomorrow. Looks like I also need the front driveshaft. ;( hopefully all the linkage is there for the deck. At least nothing is rusted up.

You should be able to recoup your money by selling the IH emblem on Ebay.

The starter bendix gear doesn't retract and the carb has gas coming from several different places. The fuel pump is cracked. I dislike Tecumseh as well. Here are my options

1. Repower with the 16hp kohler from my cub and part the cub out.

2. Scrap it or part it out.

3. Use some of the chassis and build a homemade gt. How strong are the rear ends in these?

Either way ill have to repower with a kohler. Matching the correct pulleys could be hard. That's assuming the shaft on the kohler is long enough to even accept the 4 pulleys needed.

What's this knob do?

It should be your diff control lock, gives you posi traction.( only hand tighten) You posted a pic with a free wheel pin in hand, do you have one mounted as well?(right rear inner side of hub)
