Well today was going great. Put new drive belts on my 112 and mounted the tiller. The lift had no trouble lifting. Went to do a test run. It did great! Then lifted the tiller and while turning around the tiller dropped. I shut everything off and tried to lift again. It has no problems lifting but it will not hold the tiller (or anything else) up. When it drops you can hear the motor spinning down. So its not stripped. It won't lock. Is this something in the motor I'm guessing? Repairable? Thanks in advance.

I think that some of these had a helper spring you may check to see if it has broken

Mine doesn't have the helper spring. After some reading I found that I need that spring so the tiller doesn't drop. Anyone know where I can find that setup? Thanks

Eric, I would check with our site sponsors, I'm sure a couple of them have used one for sale.

Good Luck !!

Just an update. I got the helper spring setup and installed it tonight. I was really excited to see it work. Well its not helping. It does make it lift easier but when it gets to the fully raised position there is no tension on the spring. So basically no help to hold it. I'm lost here now. Anyone have this setup that can post a pic to make sure I have this spring installed correctly? Thanks!
