Ok help, does the nut just back off and I rotate it all and retighten or does that throw off my speed??

I think you rotate everything counterclockwise.

I am working on a tiller with a K161 on it, and the disc has a pin in t to keep it from rotating back past idle. its my understanding after you clamp the cable housing down, you rotate he disc clockwise after it places a bit of spring tension on the throttle arm. You start it up loosen the nut and rotate the lever, until the proper rpm is reached. I had to do some reading myself on it.

Thats what I thought too. I know when I set the rpm on my K301 I did about the same thing, but it's a bit different.
