Got another kohler k181 question. Same engines as before, k181s off wheel horse 854 and 855. On the k241 and k301 it hooks to a cam that has a spring between it and the governor. But right now I am not even seeing one place that could happen. I need some experts, either kohler or wheel horse, and I will need pictures cause I'm already lost...

Casey there is a round disc behind the governor arm on the governor shaft.  There should be a spring hooked between the disc and the governor arm.

I'll dig aroung for some pics.

do you have a picture looking at the carb and governor linkage from the side?  That would help better in determining what is there and what is not.

These are abit dirty, but maybe they'll help.

They're from a MF8Executive.

I'll look for more.

Here is a kohler manual download for a k161.  The throttle linkage is the same between the two engines.

page 19 of the download shows how it hooks up and the page after it shows how the carb and governor hook together and adjust.
