My problem is the lift arm is missing for the mower deck. The deck wasent on the tractor can someone maybe point me in the dirction on where to get a bolens one, or some pictures maybe i can mack it out on soem 1/4 thick metal.

Howdy.  Welcome to GTtalk,  Glad u found this site.  Great bunch of folks here.

The answer to your question should be in the manuals section, I don't know how many posts u have to have to get there.  Be patient, there are several bolens gurus here that can answer your question easy!  Again, welcome!

Welcome to GTT

Do you have any pictures or a model number of your deck?

Bolens used a few different styles over the years.

Very Nice 1050!

Did a search on ebay but nothing came up. You may want to check with one of our site Sponsors to see if they have anything.

Here's the best pic I have (Note the plastic pipe over the spring is not OEM)

There is a spring which helps with the flotation of the deck that is also needed with the lift rod.

yeah, Doc, what's with the pipe?

This was the deck my Grandfather had.

If I remember right he used to oil the shaft and spring to prevent rusting and I think the pipe was so the oil would not get on your clothes

(He liked to grease everything, Sometimes too much :D)

Does anyone know the model number off hand for this deck and the tractor found a vendor that might have one.
