Looks kind of rough , does the front axle  look like it's not square to the frame ?  Maybe just the picture

I'm not real sure what this thing was, but it looks like a bunch of miss fit pieces to me.

You folks don't recognize art when you see it.  Does anyone live near Claremont?

There is just one thing missing from the ad.  The following sentence:

"It ran when I parked it."

:rolling:

He's been asking $999 for about a year. I know it's homemade, but from what??

You've got me....never seen a transaxle assembly like that one ever.  The center section of the transaxle does resemble the David Bradley units on the Suburban tractors & walking tractors, but the drop down axle drives are totally unfamiliar.

The rear end looks to be from the big Handiman walk behind. That's the same one that Sears built the Handiman RT out of. the seller here probably thinks he's got the remains of an RT when all he really has is a home made rider from a walk behind.

There has to be an interesting back story to this. How about an interview with the perp?

He has a bunch of other non-tractor antiques for sale as well, the prices on his other stuff doesn't look bad. but he should at least do some research before selling stuff.
