I just recently bought a JD 314 with 33 tiller. It has some issues.  But it did not come with the rear PTO set up.  I am not willing to pay 400 to 600 dollars that I have seen on ebay.  So I think my best course of action is to fabricate one.  So I need help with deminsions.  I would like someone who has a rear pto set up to measure the total length of pto set up.  where the pulley is placed on the pto shaft from hydro unit. the diameter of the shaft and the size of the pulley.  I would appreciate this. and maybe some other members would like this info also.  ( If this information is already in the forum somewhere could someone help me find it.)

Thank You,

Marc

I have a 314 and 317. The 317 has the fan assembly for the PTO and originally a tiller was with the tractor but was sold with the rest of the PTO previous to me getting the tractor. I've seen pictures of the PTO and I think there was mention on here of someone making their own PTO setup. You might try searching on the JD forum or the implement forum for the tiller model no. or rear PTO for 314 or 317.

I'll look if I can find something in my docs.

Edit: sorry Marc, I only found a psi for the 2000 rpm pto of the 300+400 series :(

Can't help you with the tractor, but I do want to welcome you to GTTalk.  I'm sure one of the green fans we have will get you everything you need.

Marc:

I have two different 33 tiller Operator's Manuals and the Parts Manual. They have lots of pictures of the various PTO setups. If you think that might help, I could scan them in and send them to you. Send me a PM.
