I think you did well.  Sounds like a good customer you have.  I like the ones that end up helping you find a treasure while you are helping them.

Alan, I don't think this tractor has that many hours on it, OR the PO took great care of it. The front grill is rare to not be busted up, and either the mufflers are low hour originals, or they've been replaced, as they are usually rotted out by/before now.

Trying to figure out the hour meter...

Can't only have 120 hours on it, right?image.jpg

Who knows...it is in awfully good condition.  Either 130 hours, or 730 hours.

I'm with Daniel, 130 or 730, but either way, it's in great condition.

Way to GO Alan !!

In the research I did, the tractor seems to be a 78 and the sickle either a 68 or 69. NOT a match, but it was built for my SS12... Hmmm.
The Onan has a build date of 3-78 near as I can tell... So that engine appears to be the original.

Since the sickle is so much older than your tractor, you can just ship it to me. :smilewink:

Actually, the grass out past my garden, where I have the fruit trees, hasn't been mowed yet.  I will have to raise my deck all the way up, low gear but high rpms to knock it down.  Now with the rain, it is going to need to be hayed, not mowed.  I want a sickle bar!!!!!!

The engine looks original. It should have the N52M Big Block onan in it. The tractor is a 1978 one year only with that engine. Very nice tractor, I have 3 with the big block in them, but none are as nice as yours.

Thanks for the kind words all.

Happy it turned out as it did. Tractor isn't charging, but it does mow nice with the battery pack.

Checked the stator output yet?  28VAC tested between the 2 stator wires.  Likely the regulator.
