I have come across a fairly nice Snapper 1650.  The previous owner wanted to keep the engine for his Sears Suburban project. I have a nice 14hp Kohler out of a Cub Cadet 1450.  I could not talk the guy out of his oil pan.  The Cub pan looks close.  I can't get to the motor for a week or so.  Does anyone know off the top of their heads if the Cub wide frame motors use the same oil pan as the 1650 or if it will set right in the 1650?  Thanks in advance for any info.

Tim

If the Cub engine is a K321AQS, then it is the same configuration.  The "A" denotes the type of oil pan & mounting.  The Snapper & Massey use AQS engines.

So do the JD 314,s. If memory serves the CC and Fords use the different pan/mounting setup.
