Starting bid is $475. It has wrong motor, the hood has been cut out at the bottom, none of the attachments are DB items, there is so much wrong or missing with this tractor, it would be better sold as scrap.

For some reason, all the DB's I've seen recently have been with a price located approximately equal with the skylight.  Even with no implements and no engine!

Did one go on American Restoration or something?

Yes he was asking $1700 to restore it, the owner didn't want to pay that, so he bought it for $700.

It says it even has a nice hood. Must be the optional transparent type. Love those bright whitewalls.

At the front of the hood there supposed to be 2 clips to hold it down, that area has been cut out, so the hood is worthless.

That's what I figured.  I haven't seen that show for a long time.  I watched it a few times and decided it was too high end for me.  That many dollar signs in that short of time gets me dizzy.

The hood is junk, the control rods and levers are junk, it's supposed to have an AU85 instead it's got a Briggs, the gas tank is missing, wrong throttle control, none of the attachments are DB items, and then all that scrap iron he has bolted on it.

Like I said it is worth more as scrap than a tractor.

Yes, this guy has a Bush Hog tractor for salem that he is way too proud of.  It amazes me he asks so much for stuff he can't tell you ANYTHING about mechanically.

Yea but what do they fit??

If I have to cut and weld on something to make it fit, then it's only worth junk prices.

I wonder if this fellow has the two engines swapped? The nut burner has a Sears engine on it.  He does say he "has collected for years" but "isn't a mechanic".

Naa, I think he just has a bunch of junk he can't get rid of. It pays to do a little research before buying something.
