Where's the light and shotgun rack? Oh, And who paid for that? If that was tax dollars to pretty up that tractor, I'd be one ticked off Massachusian.

I can understand wanting to get rid of the green, but ...

What ever happened to the saying "radios are faster than you"? Kinda crazy what departments get to spend tax dollars.

The Departments do get grants for public Relations programs. Our local Police sport a really tricked out 4X4 Pickup to promote The DARE program. They say it really helps them relate with the kids and promote the anti-Drug culture.

Most of the time Police Departments don't have to pay for anything. They confiscate a few drug dealers cars and they have all the rims and accessories they need.

I agree, the corvette was courtesy of a drug dealer :D , not used for patrol or as a chase car, just PR.

They also have some vintage marked cars for parades, and I believe are driven by troopers on there own time.

Don't laugh here's the link, lights in grill  :smilewink:

Why not, as long as it's not on a public way, but this is "owned" by MSP , needs a new seat :D
