In the pile of stuff under a tarp behind the barn I found a Bolens two wheeled sickle type mower. It hasn't been run in 20 years and I forgot we had it. Is this "thing" of any value other than scrap? I suppose it has plenty of good parts but it sure isn't pretty and it's heavy!. Some guy offered $150 for it but then backed out, said he had enough projects.

I say they are worth something! I bought a couple Bolens walk behinds, and they're pretty neat. If you get the motors to run, they'll last FOREVER if you maintain them and keep them under cover! I wouldn't thik about scraping them, they're pretty well built machines. I'd try to get them to run. Good luck with them!!! Ian

I've watched the videos on posting pictures but my little Galaxie Tablet doesn't seem to display the same screens. . . .and so is my knowledge of how to use it. Just can't find an attachment button or I'd post a photo of that thing. It looks sorta like a praying mantis. There is a two wheeled thing beside it that looks like a tiller from Mars. Gotta figure out this photo thing.

West Central Indiana, lucky to be on high ground! Everybody in the valley is under water, terrible flooding.

We strive to help, Maggie! That's what most folks new to the forum are looking for. And there is always someone with an answer to a question, no matter how trivial the question may be. I'm glad you found us. I don't think you are too far from several members here.

I've watched the videos on posting pictures but my little Galaxie Tablet doesn't seem to display the same screens. . . ..

Just a quick thought from the comment about not displaying the same.  If you're viewing the forum on a tablet, it may be displaying in the mobile skin.  Are the page colors blue and white?  If so, there will be a button at the bottom of the screen saying "Full Version" that will show the site as you would see it on a regular desktop computer.

I haven't looked at the picture posting tutorials in a long time.  I wonder if they were made with images from the previous forum software version??

The praying mantis, aka Bolens sickle walk behind, has a new home! I just thought it was funny looking but very heavy junk. Really pays truth to the old adage, "one man's trash. . . ." Thanks for your input and help. Another old machine rescued.

The "full site" works. I had tried it before but had not given it time to load completely. I had been looking for options earlier and got myself in trouble. . .had to be rescued by a moderator. Since so many of us use phones, tablets and pads these days, maybe a comment like yours in the tutorial would help. Some of us older folks are just lucky to get online, but we've got good old stuff out in the shed that someone could use.
