I am looking at getting my old Case 442 back running to use for pulling a garden cart. I rebuilt the carborator, replaced head gasket, changed all fluids but rear tires are in bad shape. Can anyone help me locate rear tires size 8.00-16? I searched most places on the internet with no luck. Hoping someone out there has purchased replacement tires and can give me a lead. I think the 444 used the same size rear tires.

Try a farm co-op that sells tires . I use to have an old ford pickup junker and that is what it had on it and they came a farm co-op

442, 444, 446, 448, 4016, 4018 case/ingersol tractors and massey 316gtx, 318gtx tractors use that tire.  Joe's Outdoor Power usually has some tires/wheels for sale.  They are one of our sponsors.

All you are going to be able to find are used turf tires. Unless you are willing to purchase ag type tires. Firestone does makes a turf tire but is extremely high dollar. (At least I think it is) in the $800.00 range for two. The main problem with used auto tires is they are 6 or 8 ply and from what I am told will beat you and the tractor up. Too Stiff!

I have some old (1980) 8.00 x 16 turf tires I will GIVE to the first guy who will haul them off.   Useless to me.

If you want Ag tires (known as R1 style):  http://www.millertir...arm-specialist/

Cheaper ones here:   http://simpletire.co...-16-tua50-tires

                                   http://simpletire.co...816-tua50-tires

Note that these are 6 ply tires!

New ones are pricey.    I'd shop eBay for new or used ones.   I saw a pair of 8 x 16 Goodyear ag tires sell with wheels for about $120.    Oldman is right on the stiff 4 and 6 ply tires!   They are HARD when mounted on these tractors.
