I have two B&S vertical engines that had chrome air cleaner tops on them. Unfortunately the shrouds were missing from the engines , so I don't know the model numbers. I would like to have new replacements if they are available. The local B&S parts supplier will not attempt to help me without the numbers to go by.Does anyone on here have an engine with the chrome parts and can tell me the model numbers?

Thom, could you get a picture of inside the base part, and the side that goes up against the engine? I have a 11,12,12.5 and a 14.5 at my dads house.these style air cleaners look similar but are a little different. I think there were 2 different styles? Even the filter elements are different. And it does matter as they mount differently.  But they can be converted if you have all the parts from the donor engine.

I'm guessing the chrome option was an OEM spec. and even if you were to order a replacement from Briggs you might get a painted one.
