I've got an Allis (big)616 with an Onan 20hp Performer Series. I want to run dual exhaust that sounds good but not obnoxious.

Any ideas?

Does it have the deck?
If not, I would be torn between a pair of pipes down and under, and out the back or a set of stacks straight up.

Downfall with the stacks is hooking on stuff, but underneath and no one knows its cool unless you start it and they're behind you.

I like the exhaust on the FF Onan. Twin shorty mufflers out the front. Nice throaty sound. PO put chrome VW extensions on them. Looks good.

I don't use the deck. Its primarily a plow day toy. So I don't want to run the exhaust out the front or nobody will want to be in front of me. I would prefer stacks but I also like the tilting hood. I just don't want to waste my money on the wrong mufflers.

Route them to just outside the hood. Good Luck, Rick

It's not an Onan, but here is the dual set-up on my X500 with 25HP Kawasaki engine.
