I saw this 1050 in Craigslist. From the picture I could tell it was in rough shape. The ad said that it ran. I called the lady and told her we would pick it up today. It smokes a little but runs and drives OK.

This old cart and the snowcaster were included.

In the Craigslist ad this is what really got my attention. When we got home George went over it and greased it and we hooked it to my Bolens 800. Cuts fairly well.

George took video of the mower in action and will post it soon.

Thar reel mower DOES look to be in great shape.  Especially since it has the PTO shield.

If you have a lawn that you want to look especially nice, reel mowers are the thing to use.  You have to cut a little more often than with a rotary since the reel mowers don't like tall grass, but they will give you the best cut possible.

The 800 would be a great tractor to use it with as well, since it really doesn't need much HP to operate.

We forgot to put the PTO shield on when we shot the video, but I put it on before I took my pic. George did say that would probably be a part left behind quite often.

Congrats on the New 1050 and Attachments!

That reel looks to be in good shape.

Glad they went to someone who will take care of them and give them a good home.

Glancing at the 1050 it appears it is a 1969 if that steering wheel is original to that tractor.

Brian I did check the serial number on the Wisconsin thanks to your post about checking date of manufacture. You still have a good eye. The Wisconsin site said that the motor was manufactured in Jan. 1969.

Here is the video we took of it mowing. I don't think the slow motion part of it turned out as good as I had hoped but at least the grass blades are in slow motion LOL.

Great score on the reel mower    You have to love the smell of fresh cut grass. The paint on the snow caster looks in pretty good condition too.
