I need a hydro pedal return spring. Anybody have one they want to part with? Any suggestions on a substitute?

For what tractor? Is it internal to the trany or just on the pedal? Most hardware or auto parts stores have assortments of springs.

I need one too! But,, I have the remains of the old one . And two other Jacobsens. I am going to try the hardware store and see what I can make do. I need the spring that resists the forward motion of the peddle on my LGT 165.

Joe

p.s. did you get those mounts for your set pan?

What spring failed the small one (for forward) or the large one  (for reverse) ? You can replace them both with similar sized springs and this will make the reverse side much easier to step on .

Which tractor to begin with, then which spring? Makes it so much easier to get help if we know what we're working on!

Sorry it's a 75 LGT 145. It's the small spring for forward. It's completely missing.  Not much selection anywhere around here. Brutal here for shopping for parts/automotive stuff. nobody stocks anything and what is there is overpriced.  I'd love to get a lighter one for reverse as well. I did get the seat pan mounts. I ordered them though McMaster Carr, had them delivered to my sister in Mass then got her to send them to me.  I have to do that for a lot of stuff.

Same one that was missing on my tractor. Messicks still has them, JAC350558, $20.60 + shipping. If you have access to a good hardware store with a spring selection, you might luck out on getting one cheaper. I don't have the dimensions at the moment.

I grabbed a couple at the local auto parts shop. Going to try them. Not willing to pay the $40 or so Messicks would cost including the shipping. I'll see how it goes.
