Buddy texted me.. short and to the point..  Come pick up a 4.3 v6 for your cj6 and a 5.3 to build that goofy table you want to build..

 

 

Soo tomorrow i will be taking my tractor and some way of hauling my new to me engines home. I will attempt to get pictures of the motors on the way home..

So I take ir your going to have one of them coffee tables with a engine and a piece of glass sitting on top it?

heads will be pulled off and the pistons will be sticking up for the glass to sit on is my plan.. BUT there will be some planning for more support for the glass..

bad oil pumps, thrown rod bearings, thrown rods, blown head gaskets. all on different motors

Sure hope it's a non rebuildable block. At least you will be showing off a chevy motor, wouldn't even want a Ford or Dodge in my house :D

 

1978 Murray, sorry to hear about your troubles, 4.3's have been one of the best motors I've had over hte years.

All of his motors run.. He just has a bunch of em.. most less then 100k miles.  I'm going to build it to see if there is interest in buying something like that..

The 4.3 is a great engine. I have run them to well in excess of 200k miles.

 

Be careful putting a Chevy engine table in your house. It will increase the property taxes to the point you may not be able to pay them.

Sounds like a plan that will help Kansas and states afflicted by tornados.  Ballast for the house.
