Sunday I woke the GTX-18 up from it's long winter's nap. Amazingly the battery still had juice to turn it over without a session on the charger and it started on the first crank (thank you electric fuel pump )
I mowed the yard and then had a chance to mount up some new rear tires I bought over the winter. I never had these wheels off before. What a pain in the butt re-installing with the wheel weights.
The originals where 23/10.50x12 but they always looked too small on this tractor, plus I have issues with the deck riding a bit low even when raised the whole way so I noticed these tires came in a 25/10.50x12 size and figured the extra height couldn't hurt. They're Carlisle All-Trails and I the best price I could find in that size was from Treaddepot. No tax and no shipping.
I haven't used them yet but every thread I've seen online has been positive.
