Sunday I woke the GTX-18 up from it's long winter's nap.  Amazingly the battery still had juice to turn it over without a session on the charger and it started on the first crank (thank you electric fuel pump :smilewink: )

I mowed the yard and then had a chance to mount up some new rear tires I bought over the winter.  I never had these wheels off before.  What a pain in the butt re-installing with the wheel weights. :wallbanging:

The originals where 23/10.50x12 but they always looked too small on this tractor, plus I have issues with the deck riding a bit low even when raised the whole way so I noticed these tires came in a 25/10.50x12 size and figured the extra height couldn't hurt.  They're Carlisle All-Trails and I the best price I could find in that size was from Treaddepot.  No tax and no shipping.

I haven't used them yet but every thread I've seen online has been positive.

Now for some pics:

I don't think I have ever read a negative review of that tread style. Good luck with them.

I like how the edges are slightly  rounded  Did you have a hard time adjusting the deck " front to back " with the taller tires ?

No adjustment was necessary. Its not really as close as it looks in the pics.

Very nice! Those are what I'd like to have for my 317. Best all around tire out there IMO.
