I had to go get the parts to fix my first post mistakes.
I drove about an 1 hour (one way) to get a part for my Onan (Cummins) engine. I drove all the way down there to pick up 2 parts I needed and headed back home.
The first thing I had to replace was the camshaft oil seal. Well cut a long story short I destroyed the seal I just drove 2 hours to get. I have a buddy at a local lawnmower shop so I drove to see if he knew any equivalents I could buy. He looked thru his inventory and couldn't find anything. He called Napa and Oreillys to see if they could find anything but they couldn't cross reference the part number. At this point I was thinking that I was going to drive another 2 hours to pick up a 5 dollar part.
Not wanting to drive another 2 hours I went to Oreillys myself and gave them a part number. The guy starred at the computer screen, it seemed for 20 minutes, and told me they didn't have any BUT the store the next town over had 2. I went over to Mocksville and bought BOTH seals for 8.99 a piece. At this point I was just elated that I had the parts in my hand and I could see this mower run again today.
Every time I was so aggravated over this situation I thought about this post. I got aggravated but I never got mad. I counted my blessings and kept a smile on my face.
